The Phi Gamma Delta chapter house at Oklahoma State University has served Sigma Omicron Chapter for generations. The chapter house was built in 1950 and 1123 West University has been their home since 1966. While it has served the chapter well over the last 46 years, it is plagued with outdated systems, ongoing maintenance issues, and safety concerns. The Sigma Omicron Housing Corporation and building committee anticipate building a 22,000-square-foot facility that meets the ever-changing needs of today’s students. Through an active capital fundraising campaign and alumni engagement, the following improvements were completed:
-
All-inclusive housemother’s suite
-
Dining room with seating for 100
-
Ample study and social space on the main floor
-
Capacity to sleep 72 men
-
Centralized laundry facilities
-
Large group bathrooms with private showers and stalls
-
Additional group study space on third floor
