Built in 1963, the chapter house has been part of Delta Zeta’s legacy for nearly 50 years at Nebraska Wesleyan University. After much assessment and planning, it became evident to the Beta Tau House Corporation that they must make a major investment in the chapter house to provide an up-to-date facility and a beneficial educational experience that will serve college women well into the future. Through a sorority fundraising initiative and high sorority engagement, they were able to:
-
Install a fire alarm system and fire suppression sprinkler system
-
Reconfigure portion of first floor to provide ADA compliance
-
Install safety, suite-style living upgrades to infrastructure of house
-
Upgrade plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems while addressing new building codes
-
Reconstruct/reconfigure all second floor rooms into suite-style living and update bathrooms
