In 2018, the Tau Beta House Corporation completed a needs assessment and feasibility study. It was determined that to continue its legacy at OSU they must rebuild their chapter house to reflect the level of excellence for which Tau Beta is known. The Tau Beta House Corporation engaged Tulsa-based firm Selser Schafer Architects to design the new home. The plans allow Chi Omega to build a house that is simultaneously timeless, elegant, and modern, while providing upgraded living space and modern technology to support the academic pursuits of our members.
Highlights of Chi Omega's new home:
- 34,000 sq. ft.
- Large courtyard including seating, shade trees, pergola, and landscaping
- Dining room capable of seating up to 200-plus people for Chapter dinners and big events
- Guest suite with two queen beds and private full bath
- House director suite with bedroom, kitchen, washer/dryer combo, sitting room, and full bath
- Member's kitchenette for snacks, drinks, and weekend meal preparation
- State-of-the-art commercial kitchen with the ability to serve all members
- Dedicated space for exercise, art studio, and severe weather shelter
- Multipurpose room to be used for a variety of activities
- Thirty-four bedrooms ranging from 2-6 beds per room
- Lounges, laundry facilities, and study rooms on each floor
- Modern, spa-style bathrooms with individual storage space
