With no significant previous improvements to their 42-year old chapter house, Alpha Xi Delta at the University of Texas implemented a $500,000 sorority fundraising campaign for renovation to address immediate needs of the undergraduates and restore the house to top condition for future Beta Alpha members. Their two-phase plan follows.

Phase One

  • New gabled roof to transform the overall look of house

  • Redesign front façade

  • Add large study room on second floor

Phase Two

  • Add attached house director’s residence

  • Create grand entrance with new stairwell

  • Convert house director’s apartment to staff lounge and powder room

  • Reconfigure chapter room

  • Add TV room
