Vanderbilt University’s Tau Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity has a legacy of over 50 years. In 2006, the University made it clear that the chapter would need to undertake major renovation to remain competitive. After a successful fraternity fundraising campaign, the house was more or less gutted and rebuilt. Major changes included:
-
Bringing the house up to ADA accessibility standards
-
Adding a second story to include larger bedrooms
-
Adding an enhanced-accessibility bedroom on the main floor
-
Adding a much larger meeting room/social space on the main floor
-
Expanding the front room farther toward the street
-
Upgrading walls, roof, and wireless Internet
